Spencer and Wesley sponsored one child each in Guatemala. They are so precious. Rick and I had the opportunity to meet Rebecca and Donis (Donald) and their mother, Emilia while we were there. Their father [husband] was killed in a hunting accident last November - He feel off a cliff to his death. Mom and the children have been traumatized by the whole ordeal, but as Christians, they know that God is with them every step of the way and He is in control of all things.

Wii Chicken

Josh Caldwell is such a great character [a chicken in this case].  No pride, no shame, as he dresses as a chicken to raise money for hungry children in Solola, Guatemala.  $7.00 usd will buy a chicken that will produce an egg for a hungry child.  Josh danced his way into the children's ministry today at The Church at Brookhills in this costume as a living example of sharing Christ.

It's Snowing!

This is the first snow in Birmingham in 8 years (according to James Spann) with any accumulation. We have about 3 inches on the ground and the roads are just very wet and slushy, not closed. It is a very cold 18 degrees outside, but it is so beautiful, bright and clean looking. Blair (our Yorkie) would not go out when I opened the door - she began to bark uncontrollably as the trees are swaying and large white snowflakes are falling all around. I hope Snowman and Manga got snow in Wadley!
