Mississippi Flooding
Mississippi Flooding
Right now the south is facing another crisis. The Mississippi River is higher than its been in over 75 years. Today it crested at 47.8 feet, leaving a trail of destruction up and down the border states of Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi. My heart just aches for them. Many families are faced with the loss of property or worse, life.
The reason I wanted to add this is for another keepsake and part of history taking place on this Earth.

Join in
I am humbled each day as I realize that we are all a part of what our God is doing in the world. He is the GoD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The same God who parted the Red Sea, the same God who fed millions of people with manna from heaven, the same God who gave water from the rock, the same God who spoke this world into existence.
When we join God in His work, it is a guaranteed victory! It should cause us to put aside the trivial and live, not for this world, but for the world to come. It should cause us to spend our lives being obedient to Christ's command by taking the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
Share the Gospel.....
by showing compassion to others
by building a relationship outside your box
by feeding the hungry
by giving clothes to those without
Share Jesus and your LIFE! with someone....anyone.....TODAY!

Bin Laden News
Like many American moms and dads, I called my children [Bullen, Andrew and Kennedy] to hurry to the family room as breaking news hit the television. We all rushed to watch the big screen as we heard the news that Osama Bin Laden was killed and in US custody. We were switching channels to watch the best coverage of ensuing history.
As we sat in front of the television – thoughts raced ..... Was he really dead? Would we see his body? What would the President say? More than 5,000 American families have paid the ultimate sacrifice since Osama bin Laden “masterminded” the 9/11 attacks, with more than 40,000 suffering wounds.

We stayed up just long enough to hear the President’s speech before reconciling the excitement with the sad reality that we all had to get up the next morning for school and work.
